As a multimedia artist I couldn't resist the temptation to access the NFT market. So this is the first series, based on my ideogram 'YPi? '
For those who are new to the concept of NFT check out these articles on wikipedia and BBC, however beyond the complexity of the technicalities, an NFT is simply a digital file, attached to a smart contract that makes it unique and original.
In this way artists can sell their digital art or a digitalised version of their physical art.
YPi? Collect my NFT on OpenSea
This is a new collection of NFT's called : Ypi-Visual Mantras. What is a Visual Mantra and why is it called YPi? A Visual Mantra is a repetition of moving images that if observed for few minutes with a 'soft glance', have the same positive effect of repeating a mantra. My Ypi's Visual Mantras are designed for clearing your mind from disruptive distractions and help you to focus on your creativity. Why are they are called Why Pi? Because I am fascinated by ne Pi number 3.1415926535… more below |

NEW! coming up...
I am now in the process of setting up an agency based in St.Ives Cornwall that will help artists like you to join the this new opportunity and turn your art in NFT's so you don't have to.
The benefit for the artist is that by linking a physical art piece with an NFT you can get an income every time your piece is sold from one collector to another.
If you want to be part of this new way to market art GET IN TOUCH!

Yπ? is the ideogram that represent my art: it's a red square, inside a white circle, inside a black square. Fundamentally It's my visual signature. This gif is created to celebrate my creativity and is designed to stimulate the creativity of the beholder. The Square within a circle within a square has been used before in history, but the use I make in my graphic art is unique so I call it why pi?
It's called 'why pi?' because I am fascinated by the mystery of the pi number 3.14...
The relationship between the square and the circumscribed circle is always a multiple of Pi...
and exactly 4 /π = 1.27 = √1.62
the relationship between the circle and the circumscribed square is
π/2=1.57 very close to 1.6
both these numbers are related to the famous golden ratio 1.6... which in the Fibonacci sequence, is the relation between one number and previous number in the sequence
3/2=1.5
5/3=1.6
8/5=1.6
13/8=1.6 etc
The length of the frames follow a pattern based on the Fibonacci sequence and this is the why the Visual Mantra has something to do with harmony and creativity.
