Luca Angius aka Dhyano is an Abstrac Artist/ Performer based in St.Ives Cornwall UK.
Born in the Dolomites, South Tyrol Italy, he took a diploma in Electronics and went on to read Performing Arts at the University of Bologna at the time when Umberto Eco was the Director of the Department.
In Bologna he trained as professional performer/actor in several theatre seminars and workshops including with Dario Fo, Yve Le Bretton, the Living Theatre and in a 2 years drama course.
He moved to Florence where he set up a performance company called ‘Improvvise Azioni’ (improvisations/sudden actions) collaborating with a number of major arts events including Arezzo Wave, Centro Pecci and the Contemporary Art Centre ‘Container’.
In 1997 he moved to London where he took a diploma in Arts Management and collaborated with many venues and organisations (including ICA, TS2K, Poetry Society, Round House, Commonwealth Institute and Pump House Gallery).
In 2002 he choose St.Ives Cornwall as his new home and he became part for many years of a Comedy Theatre group, Kulture Brake, regularly performing at the Theatre Upstairs, St.Ives Arts Club, where he developed his unique combination of Poetry Performance, Live Art, and Stand Up Comedy.
In recent years he worked in Adult Care as volunteer coordinator with Volunteering England. He was among the first Radio Producers and Presenters for the launch of the community radio The Source FM with his innovative experimental radio program The Latin Quarter.
He is now creating content through his own platform www.dhyano.com and organising multidisciplinary art events as Dada Lounge

1998/2000 London: MPE Multilingual Poetry Event. Multidisciplinary Arts Event with poetry performances in various original languages. Various Venues including Poetry Café, Pump House Gallery and Commonwealth Institute. The English translation of each performance was projected onto screens.
1997 Firenze, Napoli, Rimini, Edinburgh, London: The Music Within . Street Performance with recorded original music, live bansuri and poetry while performing a piece of abstract minimal physical theatre and mime with a white mask inside an elastic black fabric.
1996 Firenze: Oral Bar Poetry performance and sound art with live improvised electronic music. The intro of the show was a Sound/Concept Art Performance also by Dhyano. The auditorium's floor of the Art centre was completely covered with coffee cups and saucers and the audience was asked to walk through producing background sounds recorded, sampled and filtered through the keyboard. Inside each cup was placed a word that was part of a non-linear poem. The audience was asked to read loudly the words and their voices recorded and used as samples in the piece.
1994/1995 Tesero TN, Bolzano, Rome, Firenze: Objective Virtual Poetry Performance Poetry with original electronic music designed and recorded by Transline. Non-Linear Poetry samples were mixed in the music . Interaction with the audience was recorded and in real time and mixed with the music.
1993/'95 Bolzano, Pergine, Rome Italy: Weird Tubes. Poetry Performance including non-linear poetry performed by a Theatre Group, original music by a local folk acoustic music band and Sound Art produced live on a sounding sculpture. (Participation at the Maurizio Costanzo Show Channel 5).

Nato nelle Dolomiti, a Canazei, in Trentino, si è diplomato in Elettronica e ha continuato a studiare Arti dello Spettacolo all'Università di Bologna all'epoca in cui Umberto Eco era il Direttore del Dipartimento.
A Bologna si è formato come performer/attore professionista in diversi seminari e workshop teatrali tra cui con Dario Fo, Yve Le Bretton, il Living Theatre e nella scuola di teatro M.Montagna.
Si trasferisce a Firenze dove fonda una compagnia di performance chiamata 'Improvvise Azioni' collaborando con una serie di importanti eventi artistici tra cui Arezzo Wave, Centro Pecci e il Centro d'Arte Contemporanea 'Container'. Partecipa anche a regolari reading alle Giubbe Rosse, svariati festivals
Nel 1997 si è trasferito a Londra dove si è diplomato in Arts Management e ha collaborato con molte sedi e organizzazioni (tra cui ICA, TS2K, Poetry Society, Round House, Commonwealth Institute e Pump House Gallery).
Nel 2002 ha scelto St.Ives Cornwall come sua nuova casa ed è entrato a far parte per molti anni di un gruppo di Comedy Theatre, Kulture Brake, esibendosi regolarmente al Theatre Upstairs, St.Ives Arts Club, dove ha sviluppato la sua combinazione unica di Poetry Performance, Live Art e Stand Up Comedy.
Negli ultimi anni ha lavorato nell'assistenza agli adulti come coordinatore volontario con Volunteering England. È stato tra i primi produttori e presentatori radiofonici per il lancio della radio comunitaria The Source FM con il suo innovativo programma radiofonico sperimentale The Latin Quarter.
